Hi all,
Why not move to Portugal?
Winter here is like spring in most of the other world.
No freezing, no snow, no winter tires and up to 10-15 degrees C with stunning sun.
Wonderful food and wines, very cheap. Favourable taxes.
You are very welcome.
Lars

Here in the North Western Part of NY, we haven't seen a ton of snow this winter, but it has been a pretty cold one. Not sure I would define it as a very mild winter here. When it comes to temperature here the last couple years we seem to be experiencing extremes of Hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

We had a mild winter compared the the winter it snowed over 20 inches here in metro DC.

We did get about half that this year, but it was gone in just a day or two...

Same here, but today it's cool and actually raining. !!! We get excited when it rains in the desert. And we had actual snow a couple weeks ago; everyone did what they always do and ran outside to take pictures of snow on the cactus. The ski area up on the mountain opened....southernmost ski area in the US. But we did have a couple of excursions below freezing this year, unlike last year when we had none.

As the Washington Post stated...

"....Weather forecasts probably saved hundreds of lives in the bomb cyclone. Ignore storm warnings at your peril.... "

Tornados/floods/hurricanes used to strike in areas that were uninhabited.

After the Galveston hurricane of 1900, you’d think no one would be dumb enough to live or even build a house there.

But nope....
