I've been getting pretty into a lot of the new virtual reality things that have been coming out like the Oculus Rift S and the upcoming Valve Index. Does anyone else keep up with this kind of thing?

Have done some but it wasn't musical; it was virtual reality like space roller coaster rides and way-out stuff. Things where you grab the chair because you lost your orientation. Way fun. You could move your head around to "look" up, down, side to side, and the gyroscopes would figure out what "direction" you wanted to look and change the movie appropriately.
