I remember years ago going to a local store that sold better quality stereo equipment. I got my McIntosh equipment there. They would have records like this and other 'audiophile' albums...like the Cleveland Winds/Fennell with the bass drum shot in the Holst....to test out speakers, etc., and we'd all watch to see how much 'juice' the amplifier needle would show to produce the sound. CD's & streaming produce amazing results, but I miss the old days of things like that....
