I just wanted to remind everyone to check their private messages when they sign on. I've sent a few out and some of them have not had responses. Surely they aren't ignoring me :?

...figured this might help some other folks too...

When I first moved here I had to get used to people referring to where they lived by subdivision. Not county, not township, but BY SUBDIVSION! And the other people KNEW WHERE THEY MEANT! I can throw my biggest tuba further than this state is wide, and softly enough not to DENT IT TOO BADLY!! I've lived in townships bigger than this state... but at least you don't worry about terrorists, because you know everybody else, so suspicious activity is REALLY SUSPICIOUS!

Did you guys ever consider just invading Maryland?

If so, would you have called it Maryware or Delaland?

Then we'd be way TOO CLOSE to Washington, DC! Besides, if we had Maryland, then you wouldn't know everybody in the street and nod or wave when you passed...

My parent's grew up in a very small Wisconsin town (pop. 1,000). Once my grandmother took a few of us to the WI Dells park and there was a paragraph about it in the paper.

I never tried throwing an instrument into Illinois or anything. . .

You can leave them, without penalty, at any hospital, police station, or occupied fire station.

Oh, sorry, that applies to abandones babies, not tubas. Quality instruments can be left on the doorstep of any Illinois tubist registered on TubeNet. The rest go to Indiana.

If y'all do decide to invade Maryland, could you bring along that whole "tax-free" thing with you?

Oh, and if you take Maryland, could you also take that wierd little sliver of Virginia that has no real business in being there?
