Like ...
red brass bells make no difference that you could hear if you weren't looking!
... ? I guess I'll know, if this is still here next time I look.

I nearly jeopardized the entire not for profit universe by selling my foundation’s assets for operating capital!!
The excess was donated to KAG 2020!!

When I am approached by street-level operatives of political campaigns, and asked to talk about their candidate...
I tell them I'm Canadian and can't vote either way.
Just seems more polite than what I'm really thinking, such as "I didn't even want [your candidate] to be a senator. There's no way I want [your candidate] to be the president!"

When Jehovah's Witnesses come to my house to proselytize (a frequent occurrence in my neck of the woods) I make them a deal - I tell them I'll patiently listen to whatever they have to say, if they salute my American flag first....

Too liberal to be a conservative. Too conservative to be a liberal. In short, everybody hates my opinions.

My neiborhood is so tuff...
“How tuff is it??”
It’s so tuff, I have to disguise myself as Harry Belafonte just to go to Chic Filet and enjoy a Hate Sammich!!

The Googlebot gods have done this for us. The ad I am seeing as I type this:
"Seriously Rare Photos"
"Not Suitable for All Eyes"
The picture in the ad is the picture of Demi Moore when she was too young to be modeling these photos, and I am sure if I click on the link, I will see photos of Brooke Shields from Blue Lagoon, among other pictures of young actresses, models, and other ladies. As formerly both a prosecutor and public defender handling cases that went over the edge in this regard, I find the ad quite disturbing.

Three Alexanders in the same section that always play in tune- two 163CC tubas (one of which belonged to the late great Dave Bragunier) and a very old BBb.
There are enough TubeNet members who don't believe this is possible, to make this a "controversial" posting.
Even though it's true.

me, exactly....
this:
- want all the Santa-Claus stuff
- don't want to pay for any of it
...??
More like this:
- I don't align with either side. The problems facing the USA have the grubby fingerprints of extremists from both sides of the aisle all over them.

bloke wrote:...sort of like people who imagine that college-professor-composed "serious" music is the legitimate descendant of "classical" (an adjective which refers to classics) music

Other than the Ivory Tower colleagues and close family members of said professors, I don't imagine that too many people would fail to make a distinction between the two.
Why is more "classical" music being composed, anyway? There are puh-lenty of legitimate and worthy classical works already that go unplayed and unheard.

I'd much rather listen to John Williams than John Cage. Those people who are writing noise and calling it music...it won't be around for very long. What will be around is the music that still sounds like music. Let's champion Ewazen and the like. There is some really, really neat synthesized "woo woo" music out there too, that I love to listen to.

But you never find out how far out is TOO far out until you go over the line... "Here Be Dragons"...

A whistleblower, who shall remain un-named, has reported that this topic is actually the product of an overseas based troll farm practicing for the 2020 election. Bloke, you have been hacked!

Everyone secretly loves hearing tuba solos, and we should play them as often as we can!!
