Hey , I recognize those outfits - and the spinning wheel is as impressive as it is vintage.

Mrs Bloke is every bit as charming in person as is intimated here.

Mr Bloke, well, ....... :tuba: 8)

As to the unusual cold spell we are experiencing, I'm having a difficult time adapting to it. That, combined with the early darkness (thank you, Standard time), and the mention of Christmas getting earlier every year, is just too God-d@mned depressing.

And the shortest day of the year is still yet over a month away.......

There are other factors that affect how it feels outside aside from the temperature - wind, humidity and sun/clouds. Here in the north Austin area, it gets breezy a lot. That’s why we can sit outside in August (in the shade) when it’s 100 degrees out. There’s a breeze and low humidity. In NY, if temps reached the upper 90’s, it was humid and you walked around outside wet.

I always said the females with engineering ability ended up making clothing, or quilting, or similar.
