Sailed with a golden labrador that would "grin" or he wouldn't get fed. Grin he did. He liked my guitar playing and would crowd my right arm until I couldn't play unless somebody moved.
He was terrified of lightning and one dark and stormy night managed to ease into our bunk under the sheets between my wife and I until a strange odor woke us up-the odor of petrified pooch!
