Congratulations, indeed. She is one the most skilled and thoughtful interviewers ever. Master of the trenchant questions. If you had anything to hide, she'd get it out of you. She took no prisoners.

Mid-April has always seemed like a weird time, with a lot of awful events concentrated within a few calendar days:
Boston Marathon bombing
Columbine
Oklahoma City bombing
Waco Seige

Others too, I'm sure...

And the follow up answer (at least for me!) is that yes, Hugh Downs is alive and well, and is 99 years old (BW is 90!).
