If I have to wear a service uniform, I’d prefer a black suit and bow.
Else I’d be mistaken for Elwood Blues.

Re: Poll
I went with bow tie, but the occasion that calls for a tie is so infrequent that I might qualify for a barbarian. The long tie is bizarre. The only advantage I can see is that, from what I have seen in old movies, it's a convenience for comely women who might wish to lead me off somewhere, the bow tie not really being so useful for that. Otherwise, it's just something to get into your soup, and if you clip it to the front of your shirt to avoid that, it isn't really available any more for the one thing it's good for.

Sweat shirt?bloke wrote:...the "all black" (ie. "pit-wear")...
I PERSONALLY believe that a nice/clean/not-faded black sweat shirt looks BETTER than a black (collared) dress shirt with no tie.
... (cut for brevity)
Going to look it up now, as the most poignant is that i always mixed up what a sweater is and what a sweat shirt is, and i think that's because the word shirt is misleading... Okay. I was almost right. But not all sweat shirts are hoodies.
I would totally rock the unibomber look in a pit if i thought i could get away with it!
Thanks for playing!

Oh, if it’s just civilian suit or sport coat time, it’s a long tie.
