Was listening to my favorite radio station recently, WEES, OCMB and noticed this lyric...

Some people still don’t get it...

Even if “the man” is not a neither white, nor a man, they are still “the man!!”

Just you wait until they move the city limits out beyond where you are so they can collect taxes on yo property.

I lived in a little enclave of the county here that the city kept trying to annex. Very rich car dealership owner kept blocking it. I'm still in the county and they haven't tried too hard so far but I'm sure it's coming. My only real objection is that the really good sheriff's department would be replaced by the really bad city police department.

Wasn't always the case.

In the early 20th century, cities like Baltimore had much better public works (water/sewer service, sanitation, streets etc), fire protection, police protection, schools etc. than the surrounding counties. So annexation was a good thing then.

But now, many cities are hotbeds of malfeasance and corruption. Baltimore has had two of its last four mayors thrown out of office on corruption charges- and refuses to change the law so these convicts can't run again...............

Many have the opportunity to get the hell out and have.

There are still those left behind that can’t leave. I hope they wake up for realz.
