I had one for a while, from the '80s; now I kind of wish I could have it back for a few minutes, just out of curiosity. It wasn't the right thing for me at the time, but the subsequent owner by all accounts sounds great on it.

Now i wanna play a 55 gallon drum...

To be fair, i seen steal drum bands in parades in truck beds that have 55 gallon bass steel drum instruments and they sound fantastic.

And i wouldn't mind seeing this thread continue, assuming it has the Resident Genius' blessing.
Thanks for playing!

Probly went over my head....but reminds me when I play tested what I remember as an old Rudy 3/4 CC.....was like trying to play a vacuum cleaner, sucking all the air out of my lungs. I've played a more modern Rudy 4/4 since then (I think) and didn't get the same reaction, but 55 gallon drum sounds about right. One hooked up to a vacuum cleaner on "high."
