This is a MackBrass TU410 that was purchased in the summer of 2018. I am thinking it is time to quieten it down.

Wow, pretty noisy. I had a 410 (Schiller) and used it three years and never had noise like that. Perhaps wrongly, I always assumed the Schiller 410 and Mack Brass 410 came from the same factory and were produced with the same level of workmanship and materials. (?)

All screws we're tight. I was hoping that was that problem, as I checked again just to be sure. The adjusters on the linkage were loose. Sounds better now. I don't remember having to make sure stuff was tight on my horn when I was in college. Maybe the professor always kept a check on that stuff.

The 1st and 5th valve still clank when the hit the bumper when pressed. I am thinking some new Bumpers will help that. Now to remember to bring my calipers with me when I go shopping for bumper material.
Bloke, what vacuum belt did you recommend using? It seems like you had mentioned one.

What tool should be used to tighten the adjusters on the link arms?

I have and the ones on the first valve keep loosening. I guess this is something I need to check on before playing every time.

Re: Time For Bumpers and Dubro Treatment?
I messed with the 5th valve linkage today. Put a little pressure on it to slightly link it. No more noise. Thank you again!
