3D printing a tuba valve

Hello,
Please forgive my naivete, but I have to ask: Is it possible to 3D print a useable valve for a tuba, baritone, trumpet, etc? I am thinking specifically in terms of interchangeable valves, where an existing valve can be printed to replace a missing valve. Possible? I know it's possible to print plastics hard enough to withstand being the frame of a handgun, So my reasoning says yes because the valve won't suffer anywhere near the abuse of a polymer handgun frame. Has anyone tried? Foggy
