Common tuba/rush valve diameter

Post by bububassboner »

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping a few of you could measure the diameter of your pistons for me. I'm looking for some of the common ones like...

MW big/small valve
Besson
Conn
Miraphone
Adams
China horns

I'd take measurements from other instrument makers as well. These were just off the top of my head. If you could measure to the closest 0.001 that would be wonderful.

Thank you for reading.

There is a page in the Ferree's catalog that I find very useful. Here:

Current 'stable'... Rudolf Meinl 5/4, Marzan (by Willson) euph, King 2341, Alphorn, and other strange stuff.
