I have an unmodified 2280 and large shank mouthpieces fit fine. I measured the inside diameter of the receiver and it is about 13.8 - 13.9mm, which is about .543 - .547 (difficult to measure ID accurately). So I would say .553 may not be normal.58mark wrote: The entry and of the King is .553, and the Every other large shank instrument I have here is .542.
What can I do about that? Is there a replacement receiver I can order that will work? Is this normal for Kings?
