Awesome Conn conversion at Dillons

This looks amazing. Beautiful....and wowza, look at the bracing.
a top to bottom Martin Wilk custom is my guess on this one, and that would then be a bargain. Does this belong to anyone here?

Not mine, but I know the owner and the horn very well.
Yes, it is a Martin Wilk creation from an old Conn 5/4 Navy horn. Still in BBb w/MAW valves.
The chassie is completely removable for easy cleaning and repair.
It's a heavy horn, but with a huge, dark sound and easy response.
This is an AWESOME instrument.

I'm proud to say I tested this beauty out at the Army Conference 2 weeks ago and fell in love. So in love I bought it yesterday! I can't wait to get it in my hands!

thank you! I believe I eventually might change the valve caps to something have wooden in lays instead of the pearl. I do some small wood working on the side and that could be a good personalized thing of sorts.
