finger button for Holton Collegiate Sousaphone?

I have a Holton Collegiate Sousaphone (with serial #254211 http://www.horn-u-copia.net/serial/holtonlist.html" target="_blank puts it at 1954)

Third Valve Finger Button came off - seems to be a fairly standard thread for it, since I was able to swipe a temporary replacement from a buddy's spare horn (not sure of the make of that one)

Is http://www.votawtool.com/finger-button-23065.html" target="_blank the best bet for a replacement, or how can I make sure I get an appropriate part

(given that 1 and 2 finger buttons don't match, I assume this is not the first time for this horn)

There's a sure fix for that. Just buy three new ones!

If the threads in the stems are original... it should be a #6-36 thread. Not exactly what's found at your local hardware store.

Hm, I don't see the measurement of #6-36 at http://www.votawtool.com/finger-button-23065.html" target="_blank , is that probably it or no?

Well... if they say it fits a Holton... it must be a #6-36 thread.

A Conn fingerbutton has #6-40 threads.

There's just enough difference in the pitch of those two threads to make either one difficult to make work on the other.
