Convertible Conn 15j Mods?

I was recently gifted one of these from a friends garage. It plays fine but feels stuffy to me. Anyone have any experience tweaking one of these?

Check the basics...
- pistons in the right holes?
- valves aligned?
- leaks?
- Waterkey corks split or missing?

Did some investigating, and I think it needs new felts including the top cap ones. Is there a source for these for a non-repair person?

Unless I'm searching the wrong way, I can't find any Conn valve felts on there.

Felts and corks are generic. Yamaha and Besson tend to list theirs for specific models. Most repairmen just keep stocks of several thicknesses.
