I know this is the modifications forum, but I have access to a 3D printer at OU and was wondering if anyone had experience in writing/drawing CAD files for 3D printing. I'm looking to print a Buzzard and possibly a two-in-one buzzing device, but I lack the skill set to write the required files. If you have any insight please feel free to reply or message me.

If you already own one, it should take less than an hour with CAD software to make the file, accounting for the time it takes to learn. All you would need to do is draw the cross section and you can create a 3d file around the axis very simply. Pretty sure AutoCAD offers a free educational license too.

123Design is also by the maker of Autocad and is free. There are lots of tutorials.

OpenSCAD is free and powerful, but the interface is much different. You'll like one or the other, probably not both.

TinkerCAD is online if you don't want to download the software.
