Re-painting Plastic Instruments

Hello everyone! I just recently acquired a Tiger euphonium. I've had a Jiggs pBone for a few years now, but the color was never my favorite. It matched my college colors at the time, so it was allowed into pep band events so my 88-H could stay far away from bleachers.
So now I have a purple pBone and a yellow euph (alliteration galore!). What is the best way to go about changing the color? Recommended methods, paints, etc.

I wear my sunglasses at night. What can I do to change the color during the day?

Is it as simple as clean and paint, or is there more prep work to be aware of? For these, do I need a primer coat before applying the desired color, or can I just do multiple coats of my intended color?

I’d repaint the pbone similarly to how Bluto repainted this guitar...

I'll try that! They're nothing I would bring to a serious gig, but I enjoy them enough to change the color to something I prefer more haha
