Did you put a water key there after removing the case key??

When I had my 28J restored a few years ago, the tech found a flattened can of Brasso. It was perfectly playable before his ministrations, which leads me to wonder when, how and why it got in there - and why was it flattened to the curvature of the bow? Did they have Roto-Rooter fix it? It sure as heck wasn't on my watch.

My (small NW Indiana) high school band purchased a new front valve Yamaha baritone (a very nice playing horn, the clarinet playing director sounded fantastic on it) one year. I remember the guy playing it started playing catch with one of his goofball friends with a rubber mouthpiece case. Guess where it ended up; bonus points if you can guess how the band director, who was also the 8th grade boys basketball coach, reacted. I somehow thought I could use my father's air compressor to pop it out. I believe we ended up using a coat hanger to remove it...

I had an Amati baritone that was very stuffy when played. Couldn't get a small dent ball to roll past the inner wrap or the snake to pass the same area. Applied some low heat to the area and kept jabbing at it with the snake till whatever it was moved and dropped down to the inner bow. When I rotated the horn this small Dr. Who toy telephone booth dropped out. It played much better afterward.
