Having maintained for many years one of these "prufess'nl" board fences on the back of the place I used to live, I agree with all your design features for strength, maintenance, longevity, etc. And in addition, I like the way you mitered the tops of the fence posts so water runs off instead of puddling on their tops and seeping into the posts, also which would cause them to weaken and split over time.

The wood fence wasn't necessary (notice the wire fence within it)...only a wire fence was needed, but SINCE it's really close to the house - and leads up to the house, I just wanted something that looked a bit more (well...) highfalutin and less "redneck"/minimally-adequate...and - because of this - I also sought smooth "architectural-ish" lines.
(The other sides of the pasture only feature wire fence and typical "farm" round-wood posts (drawn up tight with wire) corners.
