Hey, there's a name from the long ago TubeNet posts. Joe Baker. 1990's? Good to know he is still around. Thanks for posting. As I understand it, you have a sterling reputation as a trombone slide repairman. Baker will be be pleased when he gets his slide back.

Please explain how you " lathe straighten playing slide tubes" . .. do you use some kind of mandrel to avoid collapsing of the thin tubes? Steel rollers or other tools to do the straightening on a rotating lathe? I am really curious...

Nice!!! That must have taken quite a hit to dent in the end bow support AND the guard. That's also nickel silver so dang. That hit probably also tweaked the slide a bunch.
