I'm looking to get a custom tuba mouthpiece made preferably in stainless steel with two screw rims. If anyone can make them or knows someone who can please let me know. You can also email me at demetriobarrueta@gmail.com
Thanks

With all of the components available, including your choice of four different cups, five backbores, each in two shank sizes, and many, many rims in both stainless and lexan in many sizes, and if desired, a cup extender to further customize a combination, and an option to titanium coat rims, I recommend you get a blokepiece:

I suggest you contact James New in Hurricane, Utah.

He has made several mouthpieces for me and used to to be the Kanstul mouthpiece specialist.

James New also made me a custom mouthpiece when he was at Kanstul years ago. I still play it on my souzy. I thought with his new (pun intended) business focusing on trumpet mouthpieces that he didn't have time to make other mouthpieces anymore. Please correct me.

Jim will make just about anything.
He has made mouthpieces for me with a 6 1/2 trombone cup and mellophone and alto horn shanks on them.
I visited his shop in Utah and he has the old equipment from Kanstul.

Yes, Jim can make anything. The question is at this point will he make custom mouthpieces? The last time I talked to him a few years ago, he was so immersed in his new business that he said he didn't have time to take on outside projects. Has that changed?
