S-Linkage or Stop Arm Conversion?

Post by Olivegreenink »

UPDATE...Upon closer inspection: I think I can solve with a trip to Home Depot

I posted I’ve in WTB, but now pondering...could the linkage fix the problem a lot more simply?

I have an Amati flavor of the 681. It came with one a stop arm (and presumably the entire second rotor assembly) that do not match the rest of the horn. Also the linkage blocks itself from turning far enough (can only press down 1/3 of the way) to fully it rotate to the bumper. I’d been looking for a valves assembly but it just occurred to me:

Would this be fixed with an S linkage on just that one second rotor in place if the rod linkage? Geometry seems to tell me it would - and perhaps that’s the kind of odd mismatch rotor that’s in here? Would it be a pretty simple swap? Anyone have one?

Ooooor, are there multiple stop arms that fit onto the same valve spindle? That one is def different from the others in terms of the shape of the hole in the stop arm.

Cheers :)
