only $55.00 INCLUDES shipping to continental US (only)
I will probably not go lower; these things are heavy to ship.

This is a rare 12 LP set of Anton Bruckner's symphonies 0-9 as recorded by the Chicago Symphony under Daniel Barenboim for Deutsche Grammophon during the 70's and early 80's. This features perhaps the best brass section that ever lived anchored by Arnold Jacobs on tuba. To the best of my knowledge most of these were never commercially released on CD. All 24 sides of the records are in outstanding condition except for side 20 which has the first two movements of Symphony 8, This has a very serious scratch going across it; it was playable on my high end turntable but did make a loud click on each rotation. Every other side sounds as good as you can possibly get with a 33 RPM LP. Many of the later recordings were some of the very first made off digital masters. I am the only owner of this set and have gone to great lengths to take care of these records, with the obvious exception of the one incident. These were purchased new but discontinued in the mid 80's, so the box was notched in the corner. Included is a fullsized booklet that has a detailed bio on Bruckner and a timeline of his symphonies

Solti re-did the lot on CD: London 448 910-2 LC10. Performances 1979 to 1995. Jake is on some of these as are Gene and Rex.

I'm fortunate enough to own a set of these disks.
They are AMAZING!
Well worth at least $10 per LP.
I wouldn't take a dime under $120 Marty.

Good Luck,
