What kind of Conn are the valves from. What do you mean by "Rusk cut?" Because this is not an original horn it would only be of interest as a player. based on this I would estimate its value at between $2000 and $3000.
If it were all original it could have collectors value in addition to playing value. This might might it worth more. I sold an original York Monster Eb with 4 front action valves for about $3000 about 4 years ago. Of course anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it at the time it is offered for sale.
If you're looking for insurance value, you would need an appraisal in writing anyway, so talk to one of the well known stores that sell tubas and ask them.

Bob Ruske was the tubist for the Milwakee SO and has made a mini career out of cutting 6/4 BBbs down to CC tubas. He has worked mostly with Yorks and Holtons. I don't know exactly what the Conn valve section was originally on. Most of the York EEbs were top action 3 valves, so this forn was vastly improved by Bob's work. He tried to get the the horn back shortly after I aquired it but I couldn't let it go. My avatar has a small pic.

I know about Bob Rusk's work, but "Rusk cut" usually implies to me that a horn has been "cut" from BBb to CC, that's why I asked. I'm sure that it is a nice playing horn, those York bells seem to make good horns, but a York body with Conn valves is still a frankenhorn, no matter how good it is. Its value is solely based on how it plays vs. other Eb tubas that someone could buy. That's why I would put the value that I did on it. Most people looking for a pro level Eb would want a 5th valve, so that reduces the value of this vs. other Ebs available IMHO.
