My Cervany 601 CC is still for sale.
Description
CUSTOM WORK: Valves/ports scooped out to match .835" bore, new faster valve linkage, factory 5th valve right thumb/long whole step. Solid strips of wire (3/8" half round) soldered inside bell and on top and bottom bows to darken/add core to its sound. Main tuning slide stick for adjusting pitch during play although plays very well in tune. Lacquer finish stripped off to raw brass. AGR added. There are no major dents/produces a very large sound. Some of you may recognize this as Jay Bertolet's old horn. Those who are familar with it would not recognize the playing characteristics because it has been vastly improved with the Adjustable Gap Receiver I had installed. Openess and ease of play has greatly increased. I encourage those who know this horn to try it for themselves. I am selling because I don't need such a large horn. I need to replace with a 4/4 size. Possibly willing to trade for Miraphone 188 or 186 5 valve or 4/4 five piston valve CC. Price is $4,500 and comes with Tuxedo gig bag.
