And now, for your viewing pleasure, I gladly present this beautiful Miraphone 188 CC 5 valve tuba.
I haven't had this horn for a year yet. It is in absolutely perfect playing condition, with minimal cosmetic flaws. It has the special adjustable valve system, which I will take pictures of. I purchased this horn from a guy in Ancorage, Alaska. He bought it for school in the mid to early '90s, and then hardly played it.
Like I said, it only has minimal flaws. The main one is on the little thing with a screw (lyer holder?) above the valves on the bell throat. The lacquer was chipped off, so I patched it with some super-hard clear nail polish. It doesn't look very pretty, but covers up the bare brass to prevent rot. It has a few small dings and scratches, but nothing bad at all.
All valves work perfectly and all slides pull. Intonation is great, and the horn plays like a dream. It is seriously testing my faith to post it up for sell, but I am having engine trouble in my car and would rather replace the car with something with less miles than repair it. I don't play it enough to justify having an expensive horn like this. I'm not a music major, but I thought I was going to be in high school, so I got a job and made payments on this horn.
It comes with both the original Miraphone hard case (with wheels) in great condition and a pro-tec gig bag in slightly lesser condition. The bag serves its purpose perfectly, but does show a little wear. No mouthpiece is included unless you're really desperate. Then again, if you're buying a horn, I'm assuming you're involved enough to own your own mouthpiece.
Price: I gave $4700 for this horn with shipping from Alaska to NE Tennessee. I realize that I'm going to lose some money simply because I had to pay shipping from Alaska. I would, however, like to minimize my losses. I think $4300 is a fair starting price. I'm open to negotiation and best offers.
I am a trusted seller. I sold a beautiful 186 BBb to a user on this forum, and will try to get her to come on here and vouch for me. I will deliver within a couple hundred miles of 37687 for gas money. I will do anything I can to help you out. I really need the money, as I'm commuting 30 miles one way 7 days a week for school, work, and church.

Thanks for viewing, and have a great day.
