This is an excellent example of a 186. I did a lot with this tuba in college and ended up selling it to help me buy my Meinl Weston 2165 (otherwise, I would have kept it).

The tuba is very consistant in sound and very free blowing, especially in the pedal range.

If you are in the market for a horn like this, I would not hesitate. I have no financial interest in the sale of this tuba, so I have no reason to speak well of it besides my own experience with the tuba. When I had the tuba I had many other people at every level of playing try the horn and I never got a single negative comment about it, usually it was more like "WOW, I never thought a 186 could play like this!"

If you would like to contact me with other questions feel free rascaljim@yahoo.com, althought, I'm sure George would be happy to answer them as well.
