B&S PT 10 F tuba (pics)

Post by Kyle Turner »

I bought this tuba in 1994. I paid $7,800 for it. It has been a wonderful instrument in every respect. It has served me well on hundreds of performances with the NY Philharmonic, as well as the Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke's and many film scores. More recently I recorded my first solo album with it. (Expressions-The Heart of the Tuba) available on msrclassics.com, or Amazon.com.
It has five rotary valves, with the 5th on the thumb, a first valve slide lock, and all of the valves have been vented.
It is in very good condition. It has never had any major damage. It has a few scratches and dings on it, but they are very small and un-noticeable. It comes with 2 attachable lead pipes & a new deluxe hard case with wheels. (worth $800)
The reason I'm selling it is because I will be representing B&S tubas with Custom Music Co. I am considering purchasing a PT 15 F tuba, 40th anniversary model. It plays very similarly to the PT 10 but it has a slightly richer sound. Both instruments play extremely well in tune.
If I don't sell the PT 10 within a month, I will gladly keep it.
So for a limited time, I am offering this instrument for $6,000. Buyer pays shipping.

The tuba looks better live. Pictures don’t do it justice.
