For Sale: H.N. White BBb Symphonic Bass "Pit Model"

Post by Gongadin »

I'm planning on putting my 1936 King Symphony Model Bass on that auction site on Wednesday if no one expresses interest here. This is the tall, skinny version of the instrument, sometimes referred to as the "Pit Model". Made for acoustic bass doublers. I'm open to offers over $3K. Thanks for looking!

Get a custom stand for that thing and rock 'em to the moon. Looks like there's plenty of room for a fifth valve...

I don't need it, but I like it.

I hope someone cool gets it.

It's worth at least that.

As opposed to the King "pit" acoustic bass made for tuba doublers...

(Sorry tubahed, it was just right there, low, slow, and over the plate... )
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Great website! A fella could get lost in there for hours!

I think my next acquisition is going to have to be a "Limburgia E-flat Helicon". If I had it, i could be a Limburger! (On the same page as the Pit Tuba.)

Back On The Market

Post by Gongadin »

Had it off the market for awhile and just enjoyed it.
New project coming up and I need the funds for it, so the King Pit Model is back up for sale!

In other words; "BUMP"

Actually, the King company did make acoustic basses for awhile, then I believe sold all of it to the Kay company.

Like you said: low, slow & over the plate, but the breeze was blowing in from center field:

Nothing wrong with the tuning as is. 8)
