This sounds like a good deal for someone wanting a super Bflat. Wish I were in the market, but daughter's college tuition doesn't allow.
I bought a B&S C tuba from Thomas back in 2001, and he packaged it very well in a sturdy box with wood reinforcement inside. It made the trip from Germany to the US on Lufthansa air cargo with no problems (other than a few weeks delay due to 9/11). I picked it up at the airport and didn't even have to pay a customs duty since it was a "used" instrument. Thomas was very helpful with the shipping arrangements, and I really enjoyed the B&S. If you're worried about shipping from Germany, don't. It will work out just fine.
