Blue Note Tuba strap needed

Post by Kutz »

Hi all. Looking for a Blue Note Tuba strap to buy (No hooks). Cannot get one in the Netherlands (easily) and the TE wants far too much for shipping here. Anyone not needing theirs let me know.

Thanks

For a mere $7.99, you could pick up a leather dog leash with a loop-and-clasp lock at the end from a PETSMART or similar pet supply store. Believe it or not, it works just fine as a tuba strap. I used one on my Rudy CC during a strolling, 7 hour gig with the San Antonio TubaMeisters (yeah, Ray, that was a pet strap holdin' up m' horn!). :D

I know it's been mentioned before, but has anybody purchased the waist strap that Jon Saas uses? As it takes the weight off of the shoulders, it looks like a comfortable alternative - one that I would certainly be interested in trying.
BTW - Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!
