I understand, to an extent at least, that you don't want to ship the tuba. But, that sort of limits your potential customer base. In a Cronkhite bag I'd trust it as much as in a normal, non-Johnson case.

It might be beneficial to mention how far you would be willing to meet a buyer and how far you would be willing to drive for a play test. Sherbrooke, QC is only a 4h30 drive away from Boston*. That might help potential buyers.
