No Longer looking for an EEb, found one, Thank You

Post by Dustytuba »

The old back just is not able to carry and hold a big horn. So I have my B & S BBb Sonora for trade and other stuff in the closet. We are back from Florida vacation so we will patiently continue the search.

I am open for trades the Sonora for a used newer Eb. I would consider a used silver Wessex, St. Petersburg, or other mid range Eb in the $2500 type of value range. The tuba needs to lean to the left, front valve, rotary or piston OK. I would really like 4 valves, and silver color finish. Must have great warm sound, we bring worship services to nursing homes, small rooms. I am trying to replace a 1909 Martin Eb, love the sound of the horn, but she is getting tired looking, and playing it every day is hard on her.

When I Find a great looking, lighter weight Eb, with a super sound, the Martin 1909 Eb tuba, and sister Martin Bb euphonium will become available as a set. They deserve to stay together at a collectors home. Many years (over 107) of beautiful sounds, and now is the time for retirement. So heads up to the collectors out there.

Also still have the Valve trombone 1890's for sale, I would seem to think it also would be worth something to a collector. Plays and sounds great.

Would be willing to drive up to 250 miles from Concord NC to meet you for a " test drive" of the horns, or face to face trades. I do not want to box and ship, or buy, or trade for a horn without playing it. Even meet at a McDonalds half way.

Many Blessings, Ken
