WTB Eb Sousaphone

Post by Dan Tuba »

I would like to purchase an Eb sousaphone in good playing conditions to try out in a Nola brass band/traditional jazz band. My budget is $800. I own a Conn 36K that's in good playing condition that I would consider trading. I haven't tried an Eb sousaphone so I'm not sure if this is a great idea. I ve been playing both Eb and BBb tubas so I'm comfortable switching between keys but I really like the sounds I've heard of folks using an Eb sousaphone.in this setting.

I have 2 postwar York Eb souzies. One in brass lacquer and the other is sandblast silver with goldplate bell. Hard case if you want one.
Am in the Milwaukee area, and have no desire to re-visit the Waynesville area (FLW in particular).
