FS: Kurath F tuba (pre Willson) w/ hard case **SOLD**

Post by CC »

Horn is SOLD. Thanks for the interest everyone.

Kurath F tuba, 5 valves (4 Pistons 1 rotor). Condition of finish is good to fair but it's a player. If you like the 2250 you'll love this horn. Tons of color and excellent intonation. This horn belonged to Dan Perantoni before I happened upon it. Includes a wooden hard case that has been used as a flight case with large wheels that's also in decent shape. It's had some customization done to it but is very easy to play.

$5988 + shipping via Greyhound. No trials please.
Horn is located in Dallas, TX.

Interested? Email me chris[dot]combest[at]gmail.com or PM me directly.

Thank you,
Chris Combest

Gorgeous horn. I remember playing all the Fs at Custom Music at a lesson back in around '98. This model was the easiest for me, who was only a CC player at the time, to play with any semblance of competency. What I mean to say is, in my opinion, I don't think there's a better point-and-shoot F tuba out there. Used the wall-mounted Peterson tuner and, even in my inept hands, it played very in-tune all the way up and down.

Wish I had the funds! This would be an ideal F for me. It even looks cool with the natural wear and tear on the lacquer.
