SOLD 1956 Elkhart Conn 14K/32k NAKED LADY BBb sousa $1650

Covetous 14K model in decent condition. Plays GREAT - easy-blowing, good intonation even on 3 valves (2nd space C requires 1-3 but plays fine). Lightweight and fast-responding, very efficient for both legit or blasty playing styles. Located in Fitchburg WI.

It has 2 bell screws instead of 3 so 32K possible. But it's the standard 24" bell 6" tenon .73" bore vintage Conn.

There is a small patch and 2 repaired cracks on the bell. The repairs are very tidily done and surely negligible on tone being far out on the flare. Check out body - nearly no dents!

I love these horns. Probably the easiest playing horn with the best intonation there is. With the 2 bell screws it's possible it could be a 32K. Same thing basically as a 14K just older and maybe a slight difference in the bracing. What's the date of manufacture?

I have access to a 1955 Conn 14K which also has two bell screws. Perhaps older ones had 3 screws and the post-war ones had two?
