Unlaquered
Tuba is Located in New York, NY.
Includes Black leather Glenn Cronkhite Gig Bag which fits nicely. The bag has some wear on the main zipper in one spot (see photo, I don't pass the zippers over that spot anymore). The rear pocket zipper no longer works. Detachable Cronkhite pocket will be included.
Manufactured in December 2003.
Purchased from Tuba Exchange in April 2004.
Modifications (all by Matt Walters at Dillon Music):
Brace added, connecting 1st valve tubing to top of second main branch (this might now be standard on these now.)
Spit valve added to 4th valve tubing.
Two spit Valves added to 3rd valve tubing.
Bell crease, repaired by Matt Walters.
This is a great playing PCK, very clean and nimble. Very nice intonation. I've played this instrument with a wide variety of groups and recordings in NYC.
You've likely heard this exact tuba before... if you'd be entertained by listening to a loud Bb over and over again, you can hear it in action on this recording:
