Looking to sell several horns/trade for a Hirsbrunner F tuba

Post by MackBrass »

I have several instruments to offer up for sale or trade plus cash if needed for a Hirsbrunner F tuba, piston or rotary but has to be the smaller HB10 version.

Here is what I have to offer:

Extremely rare Gold brass B&S PT 8 symphony model 6v f tuba with bell garland, totally overhauled and in near mint condition. This is a rare handmade model cir. 1970's with 5 different bores through the valves, 17mm to 21 mm. $9500.00

Regular brass B&S PT 8 symphony model 5v f tuba with bell garland. This is also a handmade model cir. 1970's with a different bore size for each valve, 17mm to 21 mm. $6700.00

Alexander 163 CC 4v, excellent pitch and in excellent shape. This is one of the rare Alex CC tubas that don't require any alternate fingering. $6300.00

MW Thor with larger bell. This horn is in mint condition and plays amazing with a huge sound and excellent intonation. This is the best Thor I have ever played $13,500.00

I also have several other personal tubas that I would consider selling or trading to include any of the Mack Brass instruments we sell as well as the new 6/4 or 4/4 Thunderbird/Nirschl copies.

IF you have the smaller HB10 f tuba model and are looking to trade or even sell it outright feel free to call or txt me anytime at 804-926-7707

All prices are negotiable

Thanks for the note on that but I am actually looking for the HB10 or the smaller model than the HB12. If anyone knows of any other leads please show me the way.

Are these for sale only under the condition of receiving a Hirsbrunner F, or are they for sale outright?

Not sure if you’re looking for just the rotary version, but here’s a piston HB10 on EBay...

I do not know this particular tuba or the seller... But here you go.

Thanks to all on the HB10 leads as I did find one.

The Alex has been sold so the B&S f tubas and the Thor are still available for anyone interested in these great tubas

To answer the question as why am I selling the F tubes if they are so good? I am selling these two because I have 3 and just don't need them all.

As to the Thor, this is an amazing horn and needs to be used especially for auditions. I don't audition anymore and don't really gig anymore so it needs to be in the hands of someone else.

I bought one of the 6/4 Thunderbirds Tom was selling last October. The horn is fantastic and my colleagues prefer it to the pt6 my band provides. Highly recommend trying one out considering it's one of the cheapest 6/4's you can get in the BAT arms race.
