Hello Everyone,
Ive been fortunate enough to be accepted into a great masters program. Unfortunatly that comes with expenses to move and find a place to live out by the University for me and the wife. Luckily the university has a horn I can use until I get situated.
So Im putting up for sale my Wonderful Wilson 3050. I bought this horn used in 2017 and has served me well playing with the Dana Point symphony, La Sierra University, and with the Greater San Diego Music Coterie. This is an amazing horn with an amazing sound that my collegues enjoy. It may be due to the thick brass, but the sound is very broad with a lot of core. The sound is very similar to a 1292, but much beefier and with the ability to play at more extreme dynamics. For its large 5/4 (almost 6/4) size it is extremly nimble in all registers. The horn blows like a hirsbrunner which makes the low register really pop with ease, as well as help the high register sing. Intonation is very great and even through the registers. My favorite thing about this horn aside from its sound is its valves. No other valves have been as smooth and easy to work with. The patented Rotax fifth valve is also very smooth and quiet.
Horn has a slight dent by the bottom bow that is purely cosmetic and some of the usual scratches and wear of an older horn.
Horn has had some modifications made to it inclufing:
-Mienl Weston style slide string catchers
-T bar on third slide
-Adjustable gap reciever (AGR) comes with standars and euro shank adapter
-Vented valves
- Martin Wilk finger buttons
