Silver Conn 36J w/ 2 Bell Options

Post by tylerferris1213 »

Hello everyone! After some months of trying this compared to my 6/4 King, I've decided to keep the King and sell this. I believe it was the last owner that had it overhauled, so it's in fantastic shape. The valves were re-plated. There are signs of past dent work throughout, but there are no major dents. Along with that, there's one well done patch on the leadpipe. I'd say the silver plating on the body is about 95% intact, with normal plating wear on places such as the top of the first valve slide. This tuba comes with either a much sought after 20" Kanstul reproduction upright bell or the original silver recording bell. I think the recording bell works just fine, but the Kanstul bell really dials in the tuba and improves focus. I've always thought the original pancake bells were a little too wide, but that's just my opinion. Also included is a ProTec gig bag which fits the tuba with an upright bell.

I'm asking $3,000 for the tuba with the 20" Kanstul upright bell, or $2,600 for the tuba with the original silver recording bell. I welcome any reasonable offers as well. PM me or shoot me an email at tylerferris1213@gmail.com" target="_blank if you have any questions or want more pictures. Thanks for looking!
