Kalison Daryl Smith CC $3000

I'm looking to sell my Kalison Daryl Smith CC tuba. I've had this tuba since my senior year of high school and it served me very well throughout my collegiate playing career. I played it in the symphony band as well as in various chamber groups such as Brass Quintets, Tuba/Euph Quartet, Tuba/Euph studio ensemble and a 10-part Brass Ensemble. It is in great shape and was most recently chem-cleaned in March of last year by the guys at Arts Music in Montgomery, Alabama so it is clean inside and out. There are a couple of dents and dings and the silver has been stripped down to the raw brass on the lead pipe and a couple of the tuning slides but honestly I kind of grew to like the aesthetic it brought. It has a dark, rich sound for a mid-sized tuba and would serve anybody looking to switch to CC or for a solid workhorse horn for college very well. I'm looking to get $3000 for this horn or best offer. I'm mainly selling just to switch up to a 6/4 tuba. The tuba is located in Enterprise, Alabama currently and would come with a tuba exchange soft case.

Yep. And while the sound may not be 'huge', it really carries. I've heard good players sound really good on these tubas.

The USAF Band here in DC had a section full of these I believe for a short while. Very competent 4/4 horns.
