FS: Pt7 6/4 5v cc tuba $10,000 OBO

Post by Jtaitel »

I’m selling my PT7 6/4 cc tuba. The horn has 4 piston valves +1 rotor and is a fantastic instrument! I purchased it from Andy Smith who won the lyric opera of Chicago audition on it.

In addition to the horn, I will also throw in a gig bag, hard case, and set of MAW valves. All for $10,000 or best offer.

The horn is located in Chicago, IL and would be willing to drive a reasonable distance. Would be willing to ship at buyers expense.

I had one of these for a while, and it was excellent. I only sold it because it was a slightly longer reach around the front to the valves, and the ergonomics didn't work for me.

Otherwise,it was a blast and super easy to play... People had warned me that some of these were not good horns, poor intonation, etc... But I had zero problems with mine.

Same body and valves as the PT-6 that everyone knows and loves, and a bigger bottom bow and bell that came from an old Kaiser tuba design. So it's said that these have more Kaiser tuba sound/spirit than the regular PT-6 or a York style BAT.

Good luck!
