Is anyone out there interested to trade a rotary F tuba for me Besson 983 Eb tuba?
It is a GREAT Eb tuba, made in England/older vintage, and has been used plenty... But still in excellent shape. Plays great, super easy to play and a sweet sound. Valves are really nice.
My brain just seems to work better in F. And my fingers just prefer rotors.
Anyone out there?
Interested only in German made rotary, 5 or more valves.
Could be a longshot, but I won't know until I ask, eh?
Also, I know I've talked to a few folks about outright sales... And that's still on the table. Just wondering if there's another option to get me to my end goal a little sooner.
Not looking to be talked into/out of anything. Just soliciting genuine interest.
Thanks!
WTT: Besson 983 for rotary F tuba or Miraphone 186 CC 5v

Re: WTT: Besson 983 for rotary F tuba or...?
Thanks guys... but I think I'm interested in CC or F only.
Big idea here is that I need something that I can just pick up and go and not have to worry or think about fingerings etc. Yes, I'm smart enough to learn that stuff. I just don't have time for it. I'm much better with CC and F.
Possibilities include:
* a really GOOD Miraphone 186 CC (5 valves only) that is an equal trade value
* Miraphone 188 (longshot)
* a B&S CC tuba smaller than the PT-6
* Rudy 3/4 CC
* As mentioned before, German F tubas
No Chinese tubas, and not really interested in Cerveny tubas as well.
Heck, it could all be a longshot, but let me know if you've got any interest.

One bump, then I'll decide what to do. So if you're interested or have an idea, LMK what you're thinking.
Thanks!

Last note for now -- really just looking for trade offers, thanks. I've had a few people ask about outright sales (and I replied), but please know the line of interested (seemingly serious) buyers is about 5 or 6 deep at the moment. You're welcome to express interest, but just being up-front.

Last bump
I'd rather have an F tuba
Will decide by the end of this week what to do, so if you are interested in a trade, this is the time.

Would also consider a solid Miraphone 186 CC with 5 valves
