With a sad heart I am putting up for sale my Nirschl York instruments. These are magnificent instruments which have done me fantastic service over my years (40!!) as Principal Tuba of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich. They both date from the 1990's number 1 (as I call it) being the first instrument to have been available in Europe in 1995, shortly after their launch at the ITEC in Chicago in 1985, where I first played Walter's instruments and number 2 dating from about 1998. They can be heard on our many recordings, particularly the Mahler and Strauss cycles with David Zinman, and more recently our Tchaikovsky cycle with Paavo Jarvi.

To the smart Alec who reported me....The instruments are located in Zürich Switzerland, I would have thought that fairly obvious from reading the post and the price is CHF 16'000
