Original Holton 6/4 BBb 345 SOLD

Post by Sam Gnagey »

On offer is this 1960s vintage Holton 345 model. It is unchanged (other than from use) as it was when it was made. As reported, Arnold Jacobs turned to Holton to produce CC tubas as a modification of this BBb model. This horn has a 20" bell with script Holton engraving and is 38" tall. Bore is 0.750, 0.812" 4th valve. Valves are tight with good compression. Overall condition is very good for its age bearing much of it's original lacquer and remarkably few dents and dings. I replaced the orginal valve buttons with nice large onew. I'll include a very nice ProTec gig bag. Due to its size I am reluctant to ship it, but will travel to meet a buyer within a 100 Mile radius of Fort Wayne, IN. You're welcome to make an appointment to come and try it out.
This is obviousely a rare find. $6500 firm. PM or email me tubanurse@yahoo.com
