PRICE LOWERED!! FS: Besson 983 Compensating EEb Tuba (Silver)
ASKING PRICE LOWERED. For Sale: I have a nearly-new Besson 983 Compensating EEb tuba for sale (photos below). I got it new just before COVID hit, so it has been used very little. This is the new model with the front-action 4 valves. It is a truly sweet playing instrument, but my needs have changed and I would love for it to be in the hands of someone who could make good use of it. Comes with the original Besson hard case. Paid $11,371 - asking $6,500 plus shipping or best reasonable offer. It is currently located in Myrtle Beach, SC. I would prefer not to ship it and would drive a reasonable distance to meet you. I had one of these and absolutely loved it. That said, I do with they could make a more expensive one with a thumb activated, rotary fourth valve, like Mike Johnson does on his conversion jobs. I think that would help with hand fatigue, and for easing fast dips in and out of fourth valve territory. Still, these are wonderful instruments.
