SOLD!

Post by ASmith »

So I've said I would never sell this one, BUT I found another Rudy that I am trying to get, so it is for sale now. This horn is truly excellent and for a big horn it can be surprisingly athletic. Intonation is not a problem and only requires a small adjustments. I truly adore this model, hence why I am buying another one.

This was formerly Ted Cox's Rudy as seen here: viewtopic.php?t=95908 and is in similar condition.
The only difference is that I added a Dillon AGR due to the old "receiver" being worn out. However, in the sale is a new, unbent Rudy leadpipe purchased from Lee Stofer that I have not had time to have installed. I intended to have the new leadpipe put on with the AGR, but I am sure Lee would be able to source an original "receiver." (Yes, I know it is an nickel over-sleeve for the original leadpipe and not a true receiver.) I found that the horn slots better in the high register with a little bit of a gap, and this also allows for the player to choose between a Euro Shank or American Shank mouthpiece.
I also have a custom Gard Elite gig bag that can be included as well for no additional charge.

Price is $8000 w/ the gig bag or $7600 without. Located in Frederick, MD.

It will be at the Pershing's Own Workshop on the Baltimore Brass booth as well at a FIRM $8000 with the Gig Bag.
